Spring Meeting highlights!
 
If you plan to join and did not attend today's meeting we would like to complete registration as soon as possible so that we can produce the new book for 2008.

Natasha Vincent from the First Tee of Central Arkansas made a presentation about the First Tee and handed out informational  brochures.  She is in need of volunteers for many upcoming events and asked for our support.  Contact her at 501-562-4653 or nvincent@thefirsteear.org
 
At Rebsamen:
  • #8 green has been replaced and beginning to fill in!
  • Markers on the cart path have been installed for the 50, 100, 200 and 250 yard marks.  
  • New equipment was acquired and old equipment repaired.  New people have been hired and the course should be in much better shape for 2008.  Robin asked all to be mindful of the course conditions.  If needed, use our voice to let "City Hall' know how we feel about the course!
  • Monthly pass is available now (if you play more than on Wednesday at Rebsamen, it may be cheaper),  If interested call the club (501-666-7965)
  • New Score cards this season
  • Clinic Mar 31-April 3, 1:30 - 3 p.m. each day ($30) with Bud Byers.  Need advance sign-up notice to get adequate instructors on site.
  • Mini-clinics after play on May 7th and June 4th ($10).
 
Play discussion:
  • Due to many first names being the same, you must post your full name, score, handicap and any other 'game' information on the game sheet each week.  If you to do not post complete information you will not be eligible for the ball awards that day.  A score card from each foursome must also be left at the clubhouse (and make sure it too is filled out with full names and scores).
  • Score sheets will be in a folder on the counter for each weeks play.
  • Please adhere to the pairings each week.  Top two and bottom two in each posted foursome should ride together.  We make an effort to mix folks up so that we get to play with different people.  Unless someone does not show, do not make changes to the pairings for your convenience.
  • Try to show up early (30 minutes before the tee time if at all possible). 
Miscellaneous:
 
  • The ladies at Hindman asked us to consider playing with them on Mondays.  It is a little more informal but lots of fun! 
  • See the calendar for upcoming ASGA and AWGA dates.
 
 
CITY:
  •  North Hills CC is no longer operating 
  • Added 2nd date at LRAFB.  
  • Due to security at LRAFB, when that date comes around, special information will be required for clearance into the base and entry will be up to 2 weeks in advance with no late comers.
  • CIty Championship is at Eagle Hill in 2008

We now have our own website!  Go to http://rwga.ghinclub.com and see it for yourself!  There is a calendar for all of our events (plus other tournaments) and news about our club.  If you belong to AWGA (through RWGA or other club) and sign-up to 'become a member' on the website you will also have access to easy sign-up for any event, finding a playing partner, our photo gallery, the ability to post your scores to GHIN plus you can keep all of your statistics that you want to enter (putts, hole-by-hole scores) and more.   You must belong to AWGA (by keeping your GHIN at Rebsamen or direct payment to AWGA through another club) to get member privileges.  If you do not belong to AWGA you can still look at the site, the calendar and news items.  You just can't use the other features.
